Thanks Merle, for your observation about Steve. That guy has some serious issues. Obviously he hasn’t a clue about what is going on on this world. All said and done lets take a hard look as to why the government really wants marijuana illegal. Number one reason, “To have control ” !!!!!!! If its not legal the government can justify taxes to build more prisons. Taxes for the DEA to fight the black market that this government created when they made it illegal!!! Taxes to throw money at foreign governments to uphold laws that they probably wouldn’t have enforced to began with. If you want the real story on marijuana, watch the History Channels series called “Hooked on Drugs”. The ONLY reason marijuana is illegal is because of POLITICS. It has never been a HEALTH issue and never will be. The most versatile plant in the world has been criminalized by our own government. The drug companies in the good ole US of A produce more harmful LIFE threatening drugs than u can possibly imagine. But heh, the government gets their cut every time the drugs are sold, through taxes. So you see, the issue isn’t a health issue like the government would like you to think, its a CONTROL ISSUE. So, Steve, as a neurologist, would you explain this “relationship” between, a “strong conscious”, and this “devil sensation”, you mention, and your extensive research in this field of “devil sensation” has led you to conclude, that, in fact, a “strong conscious” is the equivalent of, “devil sensation”, now, can you smoke this “devil sensation”, or, where can I “find” some of this “stuff”? Or, is it only available in “normal life”,and by the way, you never stated if you have ever been “influenced” by this “sensation”?

I just dont understand why Cannabis is illegal whilst smoking a cigarette is legal? Surely it should be the other way round. It doesn’t make any sense because cigarette smoke is toxic, poisonous and highly addictive, smoking cannabis is not.
Cigarette smoke does not have any health benefits once inhaled; cigarette smoke damages your heart and lungs. The smoke off a cigarette does not leave any real sense of peacefulness and reflectiveness, whilst cannabis does, you feel better with your life, more enlightened.
In reality cigarettes cause more painfull deaths, diseases and sadness than cannabis. It is just so sad why the law is is like this, and I’m sure other people would like this to be changed. We need to stop this, we need to live our own lives in our peace in our nature in our own harmony.
If you don’t smoke cannabis then don’t smoke it, but don’t disrespect those who do and those who think it should be right to smoke.
It doesn’t make any sense what so ever, it is a better drug than alcohol, it doesn’t give you a hangover, and definately is one of the best smells on this plannet. Anyone agree with me?

i have to constantly check either mpp.org, kindgreenbuds.com or norml.com to feel somewhat human being.
I have been smoking marijuana for over 2 months now and since I have devoted a lot of my time researching and digging to find truth in this matter, not just the effects of cannabis and why it is illegal, but why people who know nothing about marijuana, are against it and anyone that uses.
All of my friends and more importantly my girlfriend of almost a year think of me as “scum” and as a “pothead.”
To give you a brief look into my life.
I am 21 I live by myself in my own apartment, paying rent and bills on time, I maintain a great job, I have started my own delivery business AND have started a successful music magazine…. all at 21.
Now I am not trying to be cocky, I am just trying to put in retrospect, what a “pot” smoker does….( ponder that )
So I guess what I am getting at is, I feel compelled to tell my friends the truth when asked, but I feel like my real friends are on this website, and are making truthful videos about this plant, and are out there trying to counter this horrible horrible stereotype and what seems to be an ever-lasting injection of propaganda to the people that I love the most.
I just want to thank all of you for at least taking the time to read all of this.

Dee, excellent point though the blind ideology of David Anslinger (I hope I spelled his name correctly) and J Edgar Hoover (politics as you mention) were key to the original ban on cannabis. I have been smoking cannabis for years but it was not until my doctor explained to me WHY it works so well that I truth gained a whole new respect for it.
I have PTSD from Iraq as a USMC. Cannabis will actually let me still with full REM unlike every other over the counter of prescription sleep aid which prevents REM sleep.
For anxiety, there is nothing in the world better.

Hello Steve, I’m just curious about your opinion. I’ve never smoked marijuana in my entire life, never have probably never will. However, I am for legalizing marijuana! So, tell me Steve, why is it that I am for its legalization when I’ve never done the drug? I am clearly not worshiping the plant nor am I “under the influence of some sensation”. I am just curious…have you ever had any alcohol in your life, have you ever taken a pill for medicinal purposes, or smoked a cigarette? If you have done any of these things you are contaminating your body, and marijuana is healthier for you than any of those three. So, I was just wondering where you got your “sensational facts”.

Steve, the funniest part about your pro-Christian stance on ganja is that there may be proof that cannabis was one of the original sacraments. Now I do not know if this is true because in no way am I able to translate where references to this plant appear in the scriptures; you, on the other hand, appear to have less knowledge than I do on the subject. Your constant capitalizing of different words obviously shows that you are trying to push some sort of messed up religious message that your god (yes, lower cased) is the only way to this devil feeling you speak of and that our plant takes us there instead of faith. It is common place in many world religions to use some type of plant in order to stimulate a feeling of divine interaction in their life. Now, Christianity took on many different faces, as I’m sure you know, because it was years after Christ’s death that the worship began, spread out all over the western world. For people speak from within their learned ways of the world and not from the spirit of love. Let me say this also I have nothing against people who want to live in what they call a sober or puritan life, its their choice, but this does not make one who consumes responsibly marijuana or an alcoholic beverage any less healthier or righteous, than one that does not. Nor does it make one any less valuable then one that has been totally sober all their lives.
Evil or righteousness comes first from ones heart of the mind in its intent, influenced by ones conscience experience of good and evil, or the spiritual influences of one or the other. Therefore it is by one’s frame of mind within God’s love (positive effects) or the evil one’s intent of malice (negative effects) that judges what one says and does in their intent. God created all things and all things have a good purpose, even evil. The devil did not create Marijuana and all its joyous properties.
However it is by the influence of the evil one and those who follow him who speak and create antagonisms around those joyous gifts that God has given mankind to use responsibly within the prudence of their will. It is the lack of prudence, moderation and righteous execution (education, managing rules) that makes the good things that God has given us to use an opportunity for the evil ones to condemn and discriminate against.

If decriminalized and legalized, an educational course should be required before receiving a register ID card for purchases within a legal age. I have found that most people that are against mj and its legalization dont know anything about the plant. i first just want to say thanks to mpp. all of you working to prove to everyone that herb is nothing more then a life enhancer i congratulate! as far as i know im more healthy then all of my friends and my family members. I’ve been smoking weed for six years, and nothing but good things have come from it. i had the worst anger up till i started smoking. maybe steve should start smoking… it might fend off all that “evil”. the main point is, you have to educate your self and take responsibility for what you do. right now mj is illegal and i was arrest for having it on my person. now im on a doc order and cant smoke. i;m only 19 and i have a felony for VUCSA (violation under controlled sustenance act ) in washington state; of all places right? lol. but i cant smoke now and the wold is still the same. from time to time i still have anxiety and i really want to light one up, but i cant. i get random UA’s and i feel constantly violated in my privacy. but really what can you do. i knew it was illegal at the time and these are my consequences. 10 months more and ill be free from the Department of Corrections. just watch what your doing, i guess. the herb has changed my life more then i would have imagined in both the GOOD and the bad. just be careful, cuz it still is illegal.

Okay, Steve, I want you to do me a favor. Before you go ahead and jump the gun, do some research. Research the subject and also it’s relation to the bible. Not that there is any real connection, but I can’t remember ever reading the bible and coming across anything that prohibits the use of marijuana. Everything else, yes, but nothing about that, I may be wrong but I think it also references the use in the bible too. Just do some research, my friend, open your mind and see what you find, you may just be surprised. The problem with people today is that no one opens their minds to possibilities. Ok…I am a Nurse a RN with a spouse with persian gulf syndrome complicated with clotting disorder, rheumatoid arthritis and ulcers…he has nearly died 3 times in the last 18 months and he is 43 years old…every medication that mainstream conventional medicine has and can give him is killing him…in January, we introduced him to MJ…and he lives…he works in his yard, he plays with his grand-daughter, he has had one flair of his RA and MJ handled that not just the pain but got rid of the inflammation as well…I thank God for this wonderful little plant everyday…it literally gave me my husband back to me…so if the devil has something to do with this then I guess I would thank him as well…but ya know for God Fearing people…you should know that God gave us this little medical miracle…it was a government wanting to stop Mexican Immigration that criminalized it…and they allow people who are dying and in excruciating pain a small amount of it to ease their suffering…they just want to control this wonderful thing…I know it has saved my husband…so…it will be in my home and cherished for the good it has done for us…

Tobacco’s carcinogenic properties arise in a large part from the plant incorporating large amounts of thorium from the soil into its leaves. Thorium is an abundant and naturally occurring radioactive element that is part of the uranium series decay chain. It decays to radium, then radon, polonium, and eventually lead. Radon and polonium are both gasses that can be absorbed into your lungs, then decay quickly and emit alpha particles which damage cells. I’m not a medical scientist, and my understanding of cancer is limited. However, it seems pretty clear that marijuana, which can be grown hydroponically, will not necessarily have these large quantities of thorium in its bud, and will therefore be less harmful to smokers.
