MPP’s Assistant Director of Communications is interviewed by WUSA-TV 9 in Washington, DC, about the removal of a legal provision that prevented the District of Columbia from enacting any marijuana reform legislation.  Also discussed was the case of Jonathan Magbie, a medical marijuana patient who died in the DC jail due to lack of medical treatment while serving a sentence for marijuana possession. 06/29/2009

Great job and keep doing what your doing and force the issue because thats what needs to be done. I think you should also add that as a fact marijuana is not a gate way drug, the only reason that it can be compared with other drugs like cocaine and herien at all is because alot of time the same person selling the weed is the same person selling pushing those other section 2 drugs. As far as alot of youths are consurend marijuana is as bad as meth and other drugs because of what they see on T.V.. The “partnership (with alchole companys) for a drug free america” send more ad’s about marijauna then they do any other drug so I personaly think that youths see no difference between marijuana and those other much more deadly and addictive drugs because of those ad’s. If people who make those ad’s were truely worried about are youths future and not the money in there pockets then those ad’s would not have one marijauna commercial because its all a bunch of crap. Alchole, paper, and many other companys dont want to see the compatition of marijuana because they know they could lose millions of dollars out of there pockets so what else to do then force feed this gulable and very uniformed country full of lies and watch them eat it right up. IGONORENT can only describe this country with this issue right now. I believe people will eventually start to relize all this hopefully so just keep pushing this issue each and every day. Goerge Washingtion would be proud with what your doing and highly disappointed with this country right now.

tyler you are right… George Washington must be rolling in his grave and bitting the shit out of president nixon. For all i know this country should be label as ignorant… they eat up everything they see on tv and never do a research for them self. America get off your fat sticking ass and have some sense!

  3. Lower the drug class on Marijuana. Away from the cocaine, heroin, acid, PCP, and other illicid drug. Marijuana is no more dangerous than alcohol. Alcohol is a major cause of fatal traffic accidents, domestic violence, uncontrol of body function, behavior, and irrational thought and behavior, fights, complete disfunctional lifestyle.
However, people who smoke weed tend to stay home and out of trouble. They are not going to kill for their next fix like with heroin or cocaine. God made Marijuana and Man made alcohol. Who do you trust? If the world would smoke cannabas, there would be peace in the world. Native Americans had it right.

The DEA is against legalizing medical marijuana saying “It would encourage tolerance for drug use.” Uh… either they are extremely stupid and haven’t seen the massive quantities of TELEVISION ADVERTISMENTS FOR DRUGS that run constantly throughout the day, or the DEA is in the pocket of the pharmaceutical industry’s lobbyists. I’d wager my money on the latter, because they can’t be as stupid as they sound.

What a load of hypocritical bull. We need to get this stone over the top of the hill and fast, before corporations erode even more of our human rights.

    LEGALIZE MARIJUANA. PROHIBIT LOBBYING!!!
