I like it, and have posted it in my blog over on Daily Kos.

The SAFER strategy is one of our best avenues for changing public opinion.

This video is proof as all proof has shown that Maijuana is simple and safe. So why is it Illegal? First of all, the Federal Government is insistant about being the only drug dealer on the block.Just look how the Health Insurance Industry is the richest industry in the nation. Every senior citizen is on some kind of medication. And most of them don’t even need them. Then why are they being put on medication? First to control them. Second to control their pensions and Soc. Sec. checks. You didn’t think our government would allow hard working citizens to keep the wealth they retired with? Did you?
OK, back to MJ. It is NOT a drug. Nor has it ever been a drug. As a matter of fact it was perfectly legal up unto the 1970’s when they had to invent a new catagory, Controlled Substance, in order to control it. Then they realized they couldn’t sell it commercially, which means they couldn’t TAX it. You wouldn’t believe how much tax dollars the federal government is spending trying to duplicate a perfectly natural weed for the sole purpose of Taxing it.
While I’m catching my breath, let me further explain the other player in this scenario. Dupont. That’s right, the biggest company in the world for inventing synthetic, that means manmade, materials. Most of which, by the way, are made from oil. Do they want a simple weed kept illegal? Yes. But not the one we enjoy. It’s cousin, HEMP. This simple OTHER weed can replace a lot, if not most, of Duponts fake materials with natural materials.
Let me try and get back on track. I lost my train of thought. Did anyone hear the one about the Courts Ordering the Drug Czar to stop using Tax Dollars for propaganda? He has refused to comply with a court order. Has anybody thought to place this person who is committing federal crimes under Citizens Arrest? A great way to get free media coverage. I wonder if the lawyers at MPP thought of this? Inquiring minds want to know.
The federal government says the states can’t create a law that supercedes federal law. Yet the federal government is constantly in violation of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
I must sign off. Dinners ready. I’ll continue later. I hope someone will critique my comments.

Well Done.
As you said, this should be required reading.
After all of these years, in my lifetime, it’ s a major mystery to me that
this bogus war is still being waged successfully.
Why all the fear? Why all of the Hype? I just don’t understand it at all!
Why do we let this continue?

Nice use of “bait and switch” satire to get across some remarkable information. I thought it was great.
One small piece of feedback is I found the Jazz and the pop-up thingees with noises & more information distracted from all the great “Special Report” info. Music at the beginning & end of the feature — like NPR News — might not compete as much with the main message. And the pop-up thingees had great info, but i found them to be information-overload, unless I paused it.
Why not do a series of satirical “special reports” to get all the great info out there in this catchy way?
Oh, the new PSAs with New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson and California Superior Court Judge Jim Gray are also great. It’s comforting to know there are leaders out there who are capable of critical thinking and compassion.
Onward.

It might have been already been said but just in case it hasn’t…
The #1 reason out of the hundreds of others..why the U.S government doesn’t want to legalize Weed is because… what els…they know they cant control it or make money off it …so then…. ban it…..Marijuana Have been known to relief of a huge number of different pains caused by different ailments..like Take my mom for instance..she had breast cancer and when the doctor asked her if she wanted to try medical Marijuana to help with he pain…..we both said no way that stuff is bad for you…..because thats all we both herd all our lives..until i did my research…and found that were are the only country saying that (Marijuana) does all these bad things to your body…..SH@#T man in the 80’s there was a series of tests done in Germany to prove that its bad….and what did they find out….ITS NOT….In fact one of the test smokers had Asthma..and he actually stated that since he stared smoking weed..he hadn’t had an attack for weeks…weed is just like everything els in the world..take it in moderation
i mean puck if the government wants to say Marijuana can kill i agree…but lets be honest here..The fact is to much of anything can kill you..to much food…to much water…to much sun…to much minerals such as phosphorus…to little an your dead..to much and your dead….i mean come one the list go’s on and on….so like i said in the beginning…The U.S government cant control or make money off it in anyway..so they slap a sticker on it Dangerous in order to keep most people from trying weed…they make sick lies about weed causing Lung cancer and being addictive and causing death…..first of all weed is not addictive i should know….second the only documented case of weed death was bruce lee…buts thats because he was allergic to Hashish a form of Marijuana….. no it doesn’t what your dumbass does when high is your own damm fault….I mean people drink and drive..people take vicodin and drive….recently they put out a thing on how many chemicals are in the plants like 3000 or some crap…well even if thats not a lie…has any one taken he time to see how toxic regular over the counter medicine is?!??

You would have to be a complete fool to not notice the positive affects of marijuana, chemotherapy patients, cancer, bi-polar mania, nasuea, certain flu like symtoms, appetite increases with sick people. I have been a nurse in many hospitals when I was younger, and they had to hide using it, even the old people would check out as soon as they could to go home and use the healing effects of cannibas. Made as a tea you can measure the content somewhat. I urge people in pain from all kinds of suffering diseases, to check out the laws, as most progressive communities have Doctors that prescribe a liscense to use it. We need a Federal Medical Marijuana inituitive in all states.
Sincerely

the only reason marijuana is not legal is because anyone can grow it. which means the government cant make an extremely huge profit off of it. i fucking hate how america is run, its bullshit.
i smoke to control my bipolar disorder.
the doctors have me on 9 pills a day to control it, of which include adderall (which im now highly dependent on and almost killed me in my younger years). its completely changed who i am as a person. i despise myself and who i’ve become.
ive almost also died from a xanax overdose.
ive lost many in my family from alcohol.
my best friend is addicted to anti-anxieties. im afraid for his life.
it makes me sick that we can have these things that will kill us but since the government cant make as much money of off marijuana, its illegal.
it just makes me want to puke.

I know I’ve let my life become fucked up because of marijuana. I don’t blame it specifically because of the marijuana however, I’ve had a lot of confusion in my younger days. When i first found out about it i thought it was great but i was young and dumb and used it a bit too much although it was nothing of an addiction it was more of a compulsive behaivor since I really didn’t have much direction in life and i was finding something i thought was really fun and helped me play music and enjoy myself. Once i got caught using it at school. From then on being an only child it was pretty much the main focus in my parents lives, I got sent to long term outpatient programs twice, once even went through 2 weeks in inpatient with a detoxing herion addict as my room mate. I hadn’t hardly been smoking marijuana in the weeks previous to being sent to inpatient, maybe once or twice during those few weeks but because of the drug program I was in I had to get sent away because it was the only way i could get any “sober time”. Jesus christ i was sober the whole time except for like those 2 times i smoked weed or I guess “relapsed.” Everyones main focus was how I shouldn’t smoke weed and I really enjoyed doing it sometimes although just like everyone else I wanted to grow up and be somebody I liked and was happy with. Before all this hype, I may not have had much direction but I was happy with my life. I just didn’t really realize that i should’ve been focusing on things other than marijuana, such as learning to deal with the real world. Even if i didn’t i probably still would’ve taken a path that is better than the one I’ve been on. After all the hype surrounding my use i really lost sight of who i was and what was going on and ended up smoking every day all day most days and becoming extremely depressed. This just gave them more ammunition I guess. Man this countries drug war is fucking bullshit, and how they treat our youth as if we don’t know what were doing? All this hype has been such a trip for me I mean maybe I would’ve kept smoking weed and gotten in a bad situation with that but at least i’d still have the confidence and self will to handle it. I mean i am just remembering that i really am a smart person. Going to rehab and inpatient getting sent to AA meetings and i really lost my place with the group of friends I was in before all the hype aswell. I’m not saying the weed wasn’t a problem, but who in their right mind would feel the need to smoke this much weed when there are no physical withdrawl symptoms? (well some of the emotional withdrawl symptoms such as stress can take a physical toll on ones body.) I must say, all the hype on weed and this countries policy i am living proof that none of it works and it is one thing to take a drug addict who hates their life and wants something better and introduce them to rehab but it is another thing to fuck with somebodys mind and life against their will.

I understand. I live in pain daily and the only thing that was working well was marijuana. I wonder how much longer my father would have lived with Lupus had he understood what the laws and doctors did to him by keeping the truth about marijuana from him and feeding him so many steriods and pills that his heart was weakend the kidneys would not work right his stomach bleed and he had liver desease from too many “Legal Drugs”. Like tobacco is legal but it kills people, hurts the economy, and hurts business’s because employees who smoke cost you money. Few smokers I ever knew, and I once smoked, will go more than an hour with out a cigarette, time adds up. Just 15 minutes a day is 2 weeks of time a year of a 40 hour work week and smokers are more likely to be sick and get desease. How ironic can this be, cigarettes and alcohol are far worse in all catagories than pot. Yet we humiliate, deprive, and then force known bad for you medicines on especially the aged. You think they want to kill off the boomers before they can collect SSI. You bet they do. And they do not want them speaking out against them. Somebody wise up and take a real stand. I am getting old but I have had all the crap I am going to take and now they want me to pay for their error in lending. Quicken wanted me to take a loan I applied for and told me how to do so I would qualify. I have not been a full time employee for over 6 years, I have many medical things wrong that only marijuana has been some what helpful. So now I am going on meds that are going to kill me faster and live with a quality of life that just plain sucks. I will do what I can to be a productive citizen, but this is what I ended up with after serving my country and trying to believe in them for the right reasons. What a crock. I can hardly wait to see what if anything good comes from the election and our financial wizards that have put us in such peril. We are so brain washed that when they kill our dogs (mayor up north who was suppose to be getting a marijuana package) by law enforcement, and terrorize the wife and children (who knows what will become of them). We end up saying “I think they did their job well”. Let’s just stablilize the mood swings here and all get on the right meds. Right?

There has even been a woman that died because of water. I don’t mean drowning in it either. Drinking it! Registered voters need to get petitions going for the decriminalization of use of marijuana by adults. It could be regulated and taxed, there’s the answer to the u.s. economy! If it was legal it wouldn’t be very expensive, everyone has the capabilities of growing it….it’s a weed!

CJ, I don’t know if you will see my comment or not, but just in case you do, I know of a website that you and everyone reading my comment should make it a requirement to check out. http://www.phoenixtears.ca There is a documentary on that website that has proof positive that hemp oil can and does cure most cancers, as well diabetes, glaucoma, and migraine headaches. I urge everyone that sees what this miracle herb can to spread this information to far corners of the earth, and just maybe we can wake up humankind.

I think the only negative effect weed has had on me is that I’m less motivated.
Rather than studying or clean, I would so much rather smoke (ofcourse). So I just totally blow it off even if I know the cons of blowing it off are so much worse than the pros of being high for 3 hours.
Not just with that, I’m just not motivated to like…start playing the guitar or something, I just wanna smoke smoke smoke.
Other than that, I LOVE MARIJUANA!!
But this is totally off topic, so to be on topic, weed should most defiently be legalized.
