    I have NEVER gone to a medical marijuana facility without a valid recommendation and even gotten in the door of the facility…much less gotten marijuana. My recommendation is for the pain of degenerative joint desease in my lower spine. I am an American Government, Public Policy grad student, I live in Northern California and visit the facilities located in Sacramento. Each time I have visited a new location for the first time…security ALWAYS asks for my California Driver’s License, my recommendation card, and also my paper recommendation and they also call to verify my recommendation before I am ever allowed to see any marijuana in the facility. On returning visits, my California ID is always required and checked with facility records. The Fox Guy would be marijuana-less if he ever tried to go to a facility that I have visited…by the way…when my recommendation is coming up for renewal, the facilities remind me I will not be admitted without the recommendation being valid!!!

    I live in Oklahoma and I am so jealous of California’s medical marijuana. Oh how Okies long to have marijuana reform in Oklahoma because the marijuana laws here are Draconian. Politicians have been “Rough Shot” over American’s Freedom and Liberties since the early 1900’s. Please pray for my state to lift the darkness and evil of Prohibition. Let the smell of Freedom ring! Legalize it.

    I disagree with you Mr. Mirken. This is not a step forward. Do you remember the snicker (laugh) when Obama was addressing the e-mails about the economy. I believe he knows he screwed up. If he doesn’t know then he is an idiot. He wants another term in office. His approval rating is down. He is just giving us crumbs. Can he win without the marijuana smoker’s votes? They voted for him for change in the marijuana laws, to legalize it. It is not going to happen. He will pull whatever manipulation he can to get our votes again. I don’t believe it will work after the snicker. That made a few million people angry, I believe. And they call Clinton… Slick.

    Dear Tax Payer this government is not going to legalize pot. They are not in the business of freedoms. They are in the business of dictating to us what they want us to do and how they want us to do it. They will allow us to kill our selves with tobacco and alcohol. They also will let us have sex with strangers as long as there is no money to be paid out, now that is really caring about our health. They just won’t let us sit in our back yards and smoke a joint. Now, that is what can get you thrown in jail, loose your job, loose your house, and loose your future. Go ahead U.S. government… you have got it going on, you are just what we want.

    Once again, look at the smirk on the reporters face right as they are cutting. THIS is why pot is illegal. Guys like this who feel they have to make pot jokes. Twenty bucks says as soon as they cut, he was laughing and making cheech and chong jokes.
