		<description>I&#039;m wondering why people haven&#039;t commented on the other reason for making Marijuana legal. How about because we&#039;d like to have a bio degradable plastic which is currently made from Oil, or a Bio Fuel... How about a replacement for cutting down trees to make paper and rope or clothing. It would be nice if MPP aired on some well know station the history of why Marijuana became illegal to begin with, it&#039;s medical use and industrial use. I once watch something on CNN where they talked about how the government destroyed 600 million or billion dollars (if forget) worth of crops last year in California&#039;s national forest. I can only imagine how much that could have brought, no in just taxes but also selling those crops to medial shops. Sometimes it just boggles the mind.</description>

		<description>Either way the American people will continue getting what they want. If the mexicans keep supplying the grapes, then the Americans will continue buying them. If America wants to supply the grapes, then we&#039;ll support America. Our government ultimately chooses who will supply the grapes. And our government chooses not to supply our grapes. It&#039;s their loss of control. Sad actually. When it could benefit us all Americans to have total control as a government should. The pursuit of hapiness is lost somewhere in this mess. And it&#039;s a damn shame.</description>

We are allowed the persuit of happiness if someone does something illegal and hurts others while they are persuing then they should be put away for the crime the original persuit, &quot;Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new Government&quot;, the government arresting over 700000 ppl for personal use possesion to me seems that someone is taking ppls freedom for their right to persue what they feel will give them happiness. If the ppl speak the government should listen if they dont our fore fathers were sure to put an escape clause, although i dont suggest all out rebellion yet, next time we go to vote it is time to make sure our voices are heard and get rid of the mighty idiots that think once elected they are there for life!!! ( One last comment be sure to know your rights don&#039;t let them find you and give you a felony conviction because besides being a negative on your background check they also take your voice at the ballot boxes, Hmmm if we lock up all the pot heads then they cant vote against us? just a thought)</description>

		<description>Reason is the slave of passion...and fear. There has never been a truthfully rational argument against the use of the plant. In the 30&#039;s, the AMA saw no point in listing cannabis as a narcotic, but they were generally Republicans and considered mere hindrances in the overwhelmingly Democratic congress and were ignored...as was the Blue Ribbon Report on Marijuana commissioned by  Nixon in 1970.  The scientists and police and doctors and sociologists all said it was only a marginal problem...far less  than alcohol and tobacco.
Nixon and his socially-ossified minions disagreed and proceeded to intensify
the war on what they didn&#039;t understand..as they did in Vietnam.  I was in the flow..a new Army recruit in &#039;67 who was certain pot would be legalized in 5 years. Like the war in Vietnam, and now Iraq, it all takes much longer. It looks like we may have same-sex marriage in Vermont before the state rejects the idea of incarcerating its citizens for enjoying a little temporary fatuous euphoria. Basically, people everywhere are very slow and stubborn about changing their minds, even if what they believe is preposterous. Pride trumps intelligence.
 But,  where there&#039;s dope, there&#039;s hope.  Check out our current Administration!</description>

		<description>I am so thrilled about marijuana becoming legal. I have been really interested in all the medical research. The one thing I cant get out of my mind is the fact that THC is a neuro-protective antioxidant. Its a shame that the government has withheld this beautiful plant from all of us on the basis of some political bullshit. Honestly if everyone smoked a bowl every once in a while, hell every evening for that matter, right before bed stress levels would defiantly lower. Instead of another Great Depression I would like to call it The Great enlightenment, I love the spiritual side to marijuana. 		<description>To those of us who have used more than once, there is a understanding that nature has created a truly harmless and incredible herb.The medical benifits are well proven,and i would like to say that marijuana is not for everyone.Just like certain people cant drink coffee,and others that should never drink alcohol there are certain people that THC isnt for them.I choose to smoke it and have been for over 20 yrs,and I enjoy it.I have never seen anyone smoke it and suddenly start a fight and beat the hell out of someone,cant say the same for alcohol.I have never seen anyone start crying like a baby after getting high,again cant say the same for alcohol.Just seems a bit crazy to put a pot smoker in jail or prison.The laws need to change....its time for that change..</description>
