I have a degree in economics and history. I am interesting in the marijuana legal trade and would like to open a shop. What are some of the procedures that are required by law and is very important to keep a straight path in doing so. Also I do not support the illegal surrounding with Marijuana, but would like to know if only doctors have the capability of getting a lisence.

I got information from the show you hosted, you are very intelligent and I am also flexible as an activists and knows the positive effects of Marijuana use and not only the negative as what many beaurocrats portrays as a result of not making a profit. lastly, alcohol and cigarettes are far more dangerous, but yet it is a control drugs that they are making huge profits and destroying lives. I love the fishing permit idea. Nice thought….I’m a christian conservative and would be happy to permit under the right circumstances. I would prefer the government just stay out of my weed patch, thank you very much.

I agree with christian conservative, but let’s drop the price to 50.00 and have ALL 30 million buy a license. I have about 100 friends who can’t afford 100.00. They spend it on pot!

What a wonderful; sensible message from the “Christian Conservative”, on Feb. 5th. Everyone must read this. I have forwarded it to everyone in my e-mail address book. It is refreshing to see a well thought through, pragmatic comment. It puts my faith back into a group often hypocritical and the opposite of helpful to public policies.

One way to help is to realize marijuana will only be legalized after state and federal government identifies a way to make money from it. If we’re serious about securing our borders, protecting our children from drug-dealing murderers, and pumping some much-needed revenue into the public treasury, we’ll implement a Personal Use and Cultivation Permit, similar to a fishing permit, allowing ordinary Americans to grow a little marijuana in their own back yards.
Sold by the States and splitting the revenue 50-50 with the Federal treasury, if the permit cost $100 per year, and if even one-third of the estimated 30Million Americans who use marijuana each year were to obtain such a permit, it would pump a Billion dollars into the public pocketbook AND rip the guts out of the criminal drug gangs’ cash flow.
Right now, we put our own children in prison with violent criminals for doing something that both our current Democratic President and the recent Republican Vice Presidential candidate acknowledge having done themselves.
It’s time to put the drug dealing criminals out of business and let ordinary Americans grow a little marijuana in their own back yards.
